This exciting new addition to CATS is a beautiful stretch of path that hugs the cedar-lined shores of Long Pond.  The hike, which will be recreational, will be around five miles in length, will begin at 9 AM, and should conclude by noon. The terrain is primarily flat, with a few slight inclines.  Some sections will be rooty and rocky.  Ankle-high boots are recommended.  Make sure to bring a snack and a bottle of water.  

Directions:  We will meet at the Long Pond trailhead parking lot, one mile down Carver Road from Rte. 22.  The turn-off for Carver Road is five miles north of Willsboro, NY,  or three miles south of the Northway on Rte. 22.  Parking will either be in the small lot or along the roadside.
