West Valley Trail

    

**Due to the heavy rains back in December, a culvert caved in about half a mile from the trailhead.  You can still cross the stream, but please use caution. If the stream is too difficult to cross, hike up the Bone's Crossing Trail to reach the Twin Valley trail system. We will build a bridge over the stream by the collapsed culvert in the coming months.**

    

Description: The West Valley Trail is a spectacular, medium-long trail that provides access to the SUNY Plattsburgh's Twin Valleys Preserve. The trail provides plenty of views of the surrounding valley and peaks, taking walkers through beautiful mature forest and by stunning mountain brooks. The trail provides a pathway to the trail systems within the Twin Valley Preserve, making it ideal either as its own hike or as a way to get to other trails.
