Northern Pathways Challenge

We are thrilled to announce a new, exciting patch challenge – the CATS Northern Pathways Challenge!

As many of you know, our popular Grand Hike that takes place in May was canceled due to COVID last year. We created the 2020 Grand Hike Patch Challenge, and what a success it was! We’ve created this patch challenge to celebrate trails in Clinton County.

What is it and how do I participate?

Great question! Hike three of the five following Clinton County trails that we are featuring in this challenge. They include Mud Pond Road/Old Military Road Trail (Peru, moderate-difficult), Ausable Marsh Trail (Peru, easy), Lyon Mountain Trail (Lyon Mountain, difficult), Little Ausable Trail (Peru, easy), and Point au Roche’s Long Point Trail (Beekmantown, easy).

By completing three of the five hikes, you have successfully participated in the CATS Northern Pathways Challenge!

You can register in advance or after completing your hike of choice, whatever you prefer. Registration is $5 per person and you can do that here with our simple online form. If you prefer to mail a check you can send it to us at PO Box 193, Westport, NY 12993. Each registrant will receive a 2021 CATS Northern Pathways Challenge patch! Start building your patch collection today!

Maps for each trail can be found below. Happy Trails!
